In the movie ‘Arthur’ staring Dudley Moore, the main character is drinking too heavily as usual when his fiance tries to make light of that fact. Moore then utters one of my favorite quotes of all time. I remember it verbatim from the first time I saw the film back in 1981 – the year I graduated high school.

Not everyone who drinks is a poet.
Some of us drink because we’re not poets.
